CloudBolt Software has released a no-cost edition of its cloud management platform and a redesigned interface that adds natural-language interaction to its existing cloud governance and orchestration controls.
The free edition of CloudBolt CMP supports up to 100 managed resources, including virtual machines, storage, clusters, databases and networks, the company said. It is designed to let teams run the platform in their own environments before buying it.
CloudBolt CMP is used to manage public, private and hybrid-cloud resources. The company said the release retains core functions such as self-service provisioning, role-based access controls and resource-lifecycle orchestration, rather than offering a limited trial feature set.
The updated interface includes a natural-language layer built on the Model Context Protocol. CloudBolt said users can describe the infrastructure work they want to perform instead of navigating the platform manually, with activity still governed by the platform’s existing permissions, guardrails and workflows.
For cloud-operations and platform teams, the change is primarily a lower-barrier way to evaluate and operate a management platform that spans multiple environments. The natural-language interface may reduce the training required for common tasks, but enterprises will need to validate how it handles their permission model, automation workflows and cloud inventory.
