Dyna Software CEO and co-founder Ron Browning will join ServiceNow architect and three-time MVP Hardit Singh for a live discussion examining what happens when artificial intelligence moves beyond assisting developers and begins participating directly in enterprise platform engineering.
The August 26 podcast, titled “Can AI Build, Troubleshoot and Govern Your ServiceNow Instance?”, will focus on the emerging concept of the “AI Engineer” and what it could mean for organizations running complex ServiceNow environments.
The discussion comes as enterprise AI evolves from answering questions and automating individual tasks toward performing increasingly sophisticated technical work.
For ServiceNow teams, that raises a more complicated question: Can AI understand an organization’s platform well enough to safely engineer changes rather than simply generate code?
Moving From AI Assistants to AI Engineers
Much of the enterprise AI market has focused on copilots and agents capable of helping employees find information, automate repetitive tasks or execute predefined actions.
Dyna Software is looking at the next stage of that evolution.
The company describes an AI Engineer as a system capable of translating business requirements into engineered and governed platform outcomes.
That distinction matters in an environment like ServiceNow, where a seemingly isolated configuration or development change can affect integrations, workflows, security policies and other parts of an enterprise deployment.
Generating technically valid code is therefore only one part of the problem.
AI systems participating in platform engineering also need to account for an organization’s existing architecture, development standards, governance policies and the potential consequences of a change.

Browning and Singh will explore whether AI can take a larger role across the ServiceNow development lifecycle, including building, troubleshooting and governing platform environments.
Singh brings more than a decade of experience working with ServiceNow across ITSM, ITAM, GRC, integrations, architecture, custom applications and platform development. He has also been recognized three times as a ServiceNow MVP.
Browning’s work at Dyna Software has focused heavily on ServiceNow governance, platform resiliency and AI-driven automation.
Dyna Software has been developing its own approach through Platform Copilot, a purpose-built AI engineering solution designed to translate business requirements into governed ServiceNow configurations.
The broader objective is to combine AI-generated development with controls capable of determining whether the resulting changes meet an organization’s standards.
Governance Becomes Part of AI Automation
The governance question is likely to become more important as enterprises allow AI systems to perform more development work.
An AI agent that retrieves information or summarizes an incident carries a different level of operational risk from one capable of modifying an enterprise platform.
Organizations therefore need ways to determine not only whether an AI-generated change works, but whether it follows internal development practices, security requirements and architectural standards.
That could make governance an increasingly important component of enterprise AI automation.
Rather than placing controls around AI after changes have already been generated, platforms could eventually incorporate governance directly into the engineering process.
ServiceNow Automation Enters a New Stage
The conversation reflects a larger change taking place across enterprise automation.
AI assistants initially focused on helping humans complete individual tasks. Agentic AI expanded that model by allowing systems to perform sequences of actions with greater autonomy.
AI engineering potentially pushes that progression further by giving AI systems responsibility for translating requirements into technical changes while accounting for governance and platform context.
For ServiceNow organizations, the practical question will be how much of that responsibility can safely be delegated.
