Dynatrace has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AI observability company Arize in a transaction valued at $915 million.

The acquisition is designed to combine AI evaluation and monitoring with Dynatrace’s existing application and infrastructure observability platform.

Dynatrace expects the transaction to close later this quarter or early in its third quarter, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.

Connecting AI Evaluation and Production Monitoring

Arize provides technology for evaluating models and agents, detecting hallucinations, measuring output quality and validating AI behavior.

Dynatrace provides visibility into applications, infrastructure, GPUs and business processes.

Combining the two platforms is intended to give engineering, development, SRE and platform teams visibility across an AI application’s lifecycle, from experimentation through production.

AI Changes What Teams Need to Monitor

AI applications introduce operational issues that conventional application monitoring cannot always identify.

A service may remain online while its underlying model generates inaccurate responses or an agent behaves incorrectly.

Dynatrace’s acquisition of Arize reflects growing demand for observability platforms capable of connecting AI behavior with the software and infrastructure supporting it.

Dynatrace estimates the AI observability category could exceed $10 billion by 2030.
