Oracle and AWS are expanding their long-term strategic collaboration as adoption of Oracle AI Database@AWS grows across enterprise customers.

Oracle AI Database@AWS is now available in 22 AWS Regions across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, while Oracle has made Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure generally available through the platform.

The companies said the expanded agreement will focus on accelerating migrations and increasing adoption of Oracle database workloads running alongside AWS services.

Exadata Expands to More Workloads

Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure allows organizations to specify the compute and storage capacity required rather than provisioning dedicated database and storage servers.

Databases are distributed across pooled storage infrastructure, extending Exadata capabilities to smaller workloads and organizations looking for more consumption-based infrastructure economics.

The service also supports thin cloning, allowing development and testing teams to create database copies without duplicating the underlying storage.

AWS AI Services Connect to Oracle Data

Oracle AI Database@AWS connects enterprise Oracle data with AWS AI and analytics services.

Supported integrations include Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Redshift, including zero-ETL Redshift integration designed to eliminate the need to build separate data pipelines.

Customers can also use Amazon S3 for Oracle-managed backups, CloudWatch for monitoring and EventBridge when building event-driven applications.

Oracle says updated networking configurations can provide application-to-database round-trip latency as low as 165 microseconds.

The platform also now supports Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless and Platinum Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture.

Customers including CJ Olive Young, Kobalt Music Group and Barcelona’s Metropolitan Transport Authority are already operating workloads through Oracle AI Database@AWS.

The expanded collaboration gives organizations another route for combining existing Oracle database environments with AWS-native AI, analytics and automation services without first moving critical data into entirely separate architectures.
